Food as a gesture of care
In Yemeni culture, food is a reason to gather and a way of saying you belong here. That’s the welcome we offer at every table.

The story behind our name, our tree and our table.
Named after the island where the dragon’s blood trees stand quietly against the wind, our story is rooted in that same strength and stillness. In Yemeni culture, food is never just food—it’s a gesture of care, a reason to gather, a way of saying you belong here. That spirit lives in everything we do.
Our tree stands at the center of it all: deeply rooted, branches open. It reflects a table always ready, a door never closed. Around it, Mediterranean flavors meet the warmth of Yemeni tradition—olive oil, slow-cooked dishes, and spices that feel both comforting and alive.

Socotra is a Yemeni island in the Arabian Sea, and roughly a third of its plants grow nowhere else on earth. Its umbrella-shaped dragon’s blood trees, wind-carved dunes and quiet coastline gave us our name, our colors and the tree at the heart of our logo.
Deeply rooted, branches open. It stands at the center of our emblem, and of our table.
The patterns you’ll find across SOCOTRA trace the island’s shoreline and dunes.
